Women challenged to put differences aside to see a change

6 August 2015 — The message was loud and clear. “Put all your differences aside so we can make a change and see its impacts.” The Director of Women’s Affairs, Dorosday Kenneth Watson, echoed the statement as a challenge to women during the launching of the Coalition Fund for Gender Equity in Vanuatu Parliament (CFGEVP). 28 January 2015 — The Ministry of Justice and Community Services, through the Department of Women’s Affairs (DWA) will be validating the draft of the National Gender Equality Policy in all six provinces earlier next month. National Gender Equality Policy provides a clear national framework on achieving gender equality between men and women. Once certified, this policy will assist in the coordination of efforts undertaken by the government, civil society and development partners to ensure gender equity.
